December (Tanzanite)

The allure of tanzanite, December’s birthstone, lies in its vivid blue-to-violet hues. It is said to have been named after the breathtaking evening and night skies of Tanzania, the country where it is mined. One of tanzanite’s distinguishing features is that it naturally occurs in large crystals, allowing for a wide variety of cuts and shapes in loose gemstones.
